Popular Ghanaian entertainer, Kwadwo Nkansah, better known as Lil Win, was honored with an Excellence Sustainable Development Achievement Award on Sunday, May 6, 2018.

The event, which took place at the Godsway International Church, headed by Bishop Daniel Obinim, attracted people from all walks of life.

According to a report by razzonline.com, he received a plaque and a medal from Bishop Obinim, in appreciation for his contribution to Ghana’s entertainment industry.

Lil Win then mounted the podium, and expressed his appreciation to God, players in the entertainment industry as well as his fans for all the support he has received in his career.

In wrapping up his speech, he dedicated the award to Dr. Stephen Opuni, a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD).

The comment, which may have come as a surprise to many, may have its roots in the pending suit instituted against Lil Win by Dr. Opuni.

Dr Stephen Opuni had sued Multimedia Group Limited (MGL), owners of Adom TV, for GHS10million for defaming him. Also named in the suit are Daniel Nii Odoi Tutuwani, a producer at Adom TV and the award-winning actor Lil Win, as second and third defendants, respectively.
