According to rumours out of the Middle East, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah could soon be a land owner in the holy city of Mecca.

That’s according to Saudi Arabian online newspaper Sabq.org.
Fahd Al Rowky, the vice president of the local municipality of Mecca, has spoken to Sabq about Salah.
The Liverpool star is being praised for winning the PFA’s Premier League Player of the Year award.
For inspiring the Arab world, Salah could soon be given a piece of land in Mecca. Al Rowky explained how the gift could be given:

There are several choices regarding giving this piece of land. The way to go will be determined by captain Mohamed Salah as well as the Saudi system.

If the Saudi system allows the land to be owned by Salah, he will be given a piece of land in Holy Mecca outside Haram.

The other option will be to have a mosque built on the land in his name.

Salah & Saudi Arabia

Salah will face Saudi Arabia this summer at the World Cup.

Egypt have been pooled in the same group as hosts Russia, minnows Saudi Arabia and wily South Americans Uruguay.

Many will fancy Egypt’s chances of reaching the next phase of the competition.
