Multiple award-winning dancehall act, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has finally waded into the controversy about his supposedly ‘big lips’ in a video.
In the self-recorded video, Shatta Wale lamented that some people did not like him for his ‘character’ but what hurt him the most was the fact that people claimed he had ‘thick lips’.
Shatta Wale maintained that his lips were smaller than that of popular American rapper, Jay-Z’s and one thing they had in common was immeasurable wealth.
He said Jay-Z’s lips were big but people were not tagging him for it, rather, he was being praised for his wealth.
Shatta Wale went on to ‘spit fire’ on his critics by claiming that Jay-Z was richer than most of them even with his thick lips.
He maintained that his lips were small and it was high time people stopped referring to him as someone with ‘big lips’.
The ‘Taking Over’ singer then went on to attack Yaa Pono over his ‘Gbee Nabu’ song which went viral.
Shatta Wale said even though Yaa Pono had composed a popular song, he was still a failure and chided people for following a person like that.
The ‘Taking Over’ singer recorded ‘Say Fi’ and Yaa Pono dropped his popular, ‘Gbee Nabu’ diss song.
It was however alleged sometime last year that some unknown thugs attacked Yaa Pono’s manager at Kasoa when the artiste mounted the stage to perform the ‘Gbee Nabu’ song.
Shatta Wale has been in the news in recent times over his inclusion in the altercation between his former manager, Bulldog and fellow Zylofon Media artiste, Stonebwoy.
Not long after that, he was involved in a ‘social media war’ with Bullet, late Ebony’s manager, over a tribute concert slated for March 23.
