The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has presented an amount of GHS10,000 to the representatives of his alma mater Adisadel College, who took part in the 2018 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz, and placed third.

Apart from Mr Agyapong, other entities also donated cash to all the participants who took part in the finals.

The grand finale which took place on Thursday, 5 July 2018, at the National Theatre, St. Peter’s Boys’ Senior High School emerged winners in the keen competition.

Kissi Annoh Kwaku and Fenney Benjamin, both final-year students represented St. Peter’s in the competition.

St. Peter’s beat West Africa Senior Secondary School (WASS) with a point while four-time consecutive finalists, Adisadel College (ADISCO) came third after taking the lead in the first two rounds.

All schools failed to gain maximum points in the Problem of The Day round but WASS and St. Peter’s crawled from behind during the True or False round to overtake ADISCO after their poor form in that segment.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promised to host the winners at the Jubilee House when he returns from his trip to South Africa.
