Host nation, Russia beat Saudi Arabia 5-0 in the opener of the 2018 World Cup.
Russia jumped out to a 2-0 lead over Saudi Arabia in the first half of the World Cup opener which was well attended.
Artem Dzyuba added a third goal in the 71st minute, and Dennis Cheryshev and Aleksandr Golovin both piled on in extra time.

The five goals have sent Russia top of Group A which consists of Uruguay and Egypt.
Russia’s next game is against Egypt on 19th June while Saudi Arabia will face Uruguay on 20th June.
Fellow Group A members, Egypt and Uruguay will lock horns tomorrow, 15th June in a game that promises to be very exciting.
