Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has announced that the $100 million loan which the country was sourcing from the World Bank to help the fight against the Coronavirus in the country has been released.

Addressing Parliament on Monday, the Finance Minister said the money was released and that has empowered the government in its fight against the disease.

“Mr. Speaker, contrary to the views of some skeptics that the money is not available, I wish to assure you that the money has been secured,” he told the Parliamentarians.

This amount was announced by the President during an earlier broadcast to the nation on the measures the state was putting in place to secure the citizenry.
