2020/21 Ghana Premier League season officially launched

    The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially launched the 2020/2021 football season today ahead of the commencement of the Ghana Premier League campaign on November 14.

    The 2019/2020 football season was ended abruptly in June following a ban on the sport by the government of Ghana as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

    After 10 months, a new football season is set to start with the Ghana FA tasked to ensure all safety protocols against the Coronavirus is strictly enforced by the guidelines provided by the government.

    Today, the 3 major competitions; the Ghana Premier League, the National Division One League, and the Women’s Premier League have been launched.

    At the official launch of the 2020/2021 football season today, President Kurt Okraku has assured of an emotion-filled campaign as he calls for all to work to make the local league attractive.

    On her part, Mrs. Akorfa Banson, Head of Marketing of StarTimes in Ghana has revealed that the firm is poised to invest a whopping $1 million in the coverage of the Ghana Premier League season.

    According to her, 8 camera’s will work on every matchday with multiple lives games set to be broadcasted to fans every weekend.
