Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has called on Ghanaians to reject former President, John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) since they do not have any better policy for Ghanaians.
According to the Finance Minister, the former President and the members of the NDC constitute naysayers who would not Ghana to go to the ‘Promised Land’.
The Finance Minister said this when presenting the budget estimates for the first quarter of 2021 on the floor of Parliament yesterday.
He told Parliament that the government of President Nana Akufo-Addo has performed better and deserves a second term.
The achievements notwithstanding, Ken Ofori-Atta said John Mahama and the NDC have been trying to paint the government black and calling on Ghanaians to give President John Mahama another chance to be lead Ghana.
But Ofori-Atta insists this call must not be heeded as according to him, John Mahama and the NDC have ‘nothing better to offer Ghanaians’.
“Mr. Speaker we must be careful as a nation to reject those who return from the Promised Land, with a bad report to subvert the spirit of our people and to reject leaders who would take us back to Egypt,” he said.
