Minister of State designate at the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Osei Bonsu Amoah has withdrawn from the Parliamentary primaries in the constituency.
In a letter dated 19th January, 2019 which has been sighted by GhanaNewsPage.Com, OB Amoah who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akwapim South, did not state the reasons for his withdrawal but instructed the election organising body of the party to exclude his picture from the ballot paper.
“I write to inform you that I have decided to withdraw as a candidate for the for the General Elections in 2024 in the Akwapim South Constituency…,” a letter from his office which was addressed to the General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Koduah Frimpong read in part.
The letter was also copied to Chairman and Secretary of the party in the Eastern Region.
