It is unclear what led to the cause of the shooting incident. Adu Boakye was shot three times.

“The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of a Homicide investigation and are seeking the public’s assistance locating a suspect vehicle. Police believe the stolen vehicle involved in today’s shooting homicide was also involved in a shooting that occurred yesterday in the same area,” the Police said in a statement on February 17.
