Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi has warned flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama to stay off the presidency.
Speaking at the regional conference of the party in Kumasi over the weekend, Chairman Wontumi threatened that the NPP is poised to break the eight year cycle and make Dr Bawumia President.
“We are not going to give it you, President Mahama we are not going to you, we won’t allow to come and spoil the good works of President Akufo-Addo…,” he said.
According to him, the NPP party is now more than united to fight to retain victory.
Former President Mahama since his re-election as the 2024 flagbearer of the NDC has been crisscrossing the country selling his policies to Ghanaians.
He has among others been calling on Ghanaian voters to embrace his 24-hour economic policy which he says would be the game changer for the country post-2024.
