Former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi has revealed that he paid an amount of $100,000 to investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas for him to ‘kill’ the Number 12 expose.
This amount, he said, was part payment of an amount of $150,000 which the investigative journalist and his team demanded from him in order to kill the expose which brought down his administration.
“They requested through Munkaila and I was contacted by Lawyer Kwame Gyan, a Law lecturer at the University of Ghana who said Anas was his student and that he was demanding $150,000 to kill the expose but I could only pay $100,000…,” he revealed in an interview on Onua TV monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com.
He said that he was sure the investigation wouldn’t have seen the light of day if he had been able to pay the full amount demanded by the CEO of Tiger Eye and his group.
“After the airing of the investigations, I contacted Munkwaila and demanded a refund of the money I paid to them which they paid in bits until the settled the full amount…,” he revealed further.
