Staffs of Agormanya CHPS compound received a good news last Thursday as Leyla Images presented some plastic chairs and a ceiling fan to aid their work.
Reports has it that the CHPS compound which is operating from a rented accommodation was without a fan and inadequate chairs to host patients.
The unavailability of a fan makes the temperature of the room very hot patients especially those with new born babies and the staffs of the facility as well.
The inadequate chairs also poses a problem where some patients would have to stand regardless the pain they are going through hence receiving a ceiling fan and some chairs brought smiles to the face of the staffs.
Receiving the items on behalf of the health facility, madam Mercy Marfo, the in-charge at the facility said that “I appreciation this kind gesture shown to the facility by Leyla Images”.
She however lamented that the there are so many things the facility lacks which hampers their work.
“This facility doesn’t have a fridge to store drugs as well as shelves to shelve documents and this poses a serious problem to us”.
“I am therefore pleading with the government and other NGO’s to assist us”.
Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Tetteh, CEO of Leyla images who spoke on behalf of his team of four indicated that they were appalled by the state in which the facility was hence their donation.
“Team LeyIa Images this morning fulfilled our promise to Agormanya CHPS compound who upon our visit some few days back, noticed that the facility has inadequate chairs to host its visitors and the place was too hot for the babies”.
“So we promised to donate 5 plastic chairs and a ceiling fan to help improve the situation at the facility. Today we have fulfilled that promise by donating the 5 plastic chairs and a ceiling fan”.
Mr Tetteh indicated that giving to support a worthy course was a good gesture and hence made a clarion call to the government , corporate bodies and NGO’s to donate to support the health facility.
