GhanaNewsPage.Com earlier reported the news of former beauty queen, Sally Akua Mensah, popularly known as Akua of GMB fame, ending her marriage to her millionaire husband, Dr. Kweku Oteng.
In that report, it was gathered that Akua made a post on social media, detailing why she was no longer interested in their marriage and, therefore, needed to “bow out”.
She reportedly wrote on Instagram: “Sometimes you just have to learn how to walk away. When it’s not making you happy and it’s rather stressing you take a bow. My marriage of eight years is over. I won’t give anyone the right to take away my happiness. I’m walking from everything that is stressing me.”
The report has gone haywire, and just when her fans and followers were expecting to hear her confirm or justify it, Akua has made another post, this time, speaking about the courage to continue with life when one encounters failure.
She posted again Instagram: “Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts…”
Checks by YEN.com.gh revealed that Akua statement is actually an original quote by Winston Churchill, the late British politician and writer.
We, however, cannot independently confirm is Akua was applying to this quote to her future after the reported divorce, or if she just loved the quote and decided to use it.
Her marriage with the Adonko Bitters millionaire boss has been on the quiet until recently when she spoke about why she agreed to marry him even though he was old enough to be her father.
According to Akua, she married Dr. Oteng out of love for him, and also because of his humility.
She rejected claims that she married him because of his money. Recently, Dr. Oteng threw a lavish birthday party for her, after a photo of them sitting together went viral for the first time after their marriage.
Akua is reported to be the fourth wife of her husband, with whom she has two handsome boys.
