The Government of Nana Akufo-Addo has been extremely wicked to the people of Ashanti Region since assuming office two years ago, a former Deputy Sports Minister, Joseph Yamin has lamented.
According to him, the government has failed to initiate projects that will change the lives of the people of the region.
“And even all the projects in the region which were initiated by the Mahama administration have not been continued by the NPP despite the region being their strong hold…,” he said on a programme monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com.
Joseph Yamin insisted that the NPP government is fast disappointing the people of the region and hence he won’t be shocked if the NPP performs abysmally in the region in the 2020 elections.
He mentioned projects like the Konongo water project, Kumawu Hospital and several road and educational infrastructures initiated by the NDC government which the NPP is refusing to continue.
This argument of Yamin, a former MP who was on the same show with him, Ben Aryeh said was nothing to write home about as according to him, the projects were initiated by the Kufour-administration and not Mahama’s administration.
Ben Aryeh said he was shocked the NDC will accuse the NPP of failing to complete projects they couldn’t finish in eight years.
He however assured that the Akufo-Addo administration will do everything possible to complete the projects and initiate new ones to enhance development in the region.
