Energy Minister, Matthew Opoku-Prempeh has described the performance of President Nana Akufo-Addo during his first term in office as the best in the fourth republic.
According to him, statistics that are availiable indicate that the President performed better is every aspect of the economy than any other President the country have had in the 4th republic.
In an interview monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com on Asempa FM, the Minister who is also known as Napo said the first term performance of the President was great adding that he ought to be applauded for that.
“The first term of Nana Akufo-Addo is best in the history of the 4th Republic. He did exceptionally well…,” he claimed in the interview.
Napo who was the Education Minister and spearheaded that implementation of the Free SHS policy during the first term of the Akufo-Addo administration added also claimed external factors including the COVID-19 is responsible for the recent performance of the government.
“Anybody is free to say we have failed as a government for going to IMF but should remember there was Covid-19…,” he added.
