Al-Hilal whipped Asante Kotoko 2-0 at the Al Hilal Stadium in Omdurman on Tuesday evening in the Porcupine Warriors’ first preseason game in Sudan.
The Sudanese champions scored a goal at either half of the game to pin the Ghanaian champions on the day.
Lamine Jarjou struck the opening goal for the hosts with three minutes to the end of the first-half.
After the break, Kotoko came in and probed for an equalizer which never came. Al-Hila found a second in the first minute of added time.
Khater Awad found the second for the home side as the Sudanese giants strolled past Asante Kotoko.
It was the first time Richard Boadu captained Seydou Zerbo’s men after being named the club’s new players’ leader.
The two sides will face again on Friday, August 26 in a second encounter.
