Trades Minister, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten will lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as its flagbearer after the exit of Nana Akufo-Addo as the party’s leader, pollster Ben Ephson has predicted.

According to him, Alan Kyeremanten’s name popped up as the favourite person to lead the NPP in a poll conducted by his paper, the Daily Dispatch ahead of the 2020 polls.

The Trade Minister, respondents to the survey said has all the qualities of a President and they also believe he has been groomed to take Ghana to another stage.

Alan K as many call him has been spearheading Akufo-Addo’s One District, One Factory at the Trades Ministry. He has earned the praise of many Ghanaians for helping the government achieve a lot.

The survey further listed Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the second choice.

Railways Minister, Joe Ghartey was selected as another choice after Dr Bawumia because ‘they believed the Central and Western Regions have voted  for the NPP in previous elections and they deserve to lead the NPP too.’
