Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has been dodging personnel from the National Security who are investigating the murder of a late member of his Tiger Eye PI team, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
Attempts to get Anas to respond to issues bothering on the death of his former partner have so far proved futile as he is not making himself available to the police.
Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Ken Agyapong who made these claims on Net 2 as monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com said he believes Anas knows ‘something’ about the murder of the late team member hence his decision to play hide and seek with the police.
“According to the security when they called Anas, he said he was in South Africa…he however attended the funeral [of Ahmed Suale] a day after claiming he was in South Africa. But I can prove that the last time Anas arrived in this country was December 9th, 2018. He came from Washington on board a South African Airline…,” he said.
Ken further added that the ace undercover journalist also left the country on 19th January, 2019.
“On 19th January 2019, Anas left this country with Brussel Airlines, he wrote on his forms that he was going to Lome but Brussel Airlines don’t go to Lome…,” he said in Twi on the station which he owns.
Ken Agyapong and Anas has been at each other’s throat ever since the private investigative team released Number 12, a documentary that unearth corruption in Ghana Football.
The MP has been aiming at ‘exposing’ the undercover journalist and his team which he claims are also corrupt.
The gruesome murder of a member of the investigative team and a close ally of Anas, has led to the rekindling of the ‘beef’ between the two.
While Anas suggested through a video posted on social media that Ken Agyapong should be questioned over the death of Ahmed Suale, Ken Agyapong has openly called for the arrest of Anas insisting that events that led to the death of Ahmed Suale implicates Anas.
Ken said that he has met with the Police who were shocked at the kind of evidence he has against Anas.
the maverick politician further pledged to offer an amount of GHC 100,000.00 to anyone who will give information that will lead to the arrest of the killers of Ahmed Suale.
