Andre Ayew Will Succeed As Black Stars Captain – Adam Kwarasey

Goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey believes Ghana captain Andre Ayew has what it takes to excel as leader of the national team.

According to Kwarasey, the Swansea City attacker is a natural leader and he has no doubt he will succeed as the captain of the Black Stars.

Black Stars head coach Charles Kwablan Akunnor recently maintained Andre Ayew as the captain of the team and Kwarasey believes Ayew will do well.

“Andre will probably do well, he is a natural leader. Always 100 percent on the pitch and a good player as well, so no doubt about that,” he told Citi Sports.

“I have no idea how it went down so I don’t even want to comment on it.

“I just read about it and never asked anybody about it so I didn’t pay too much attention to it because I’ve realized that a lot of what you read in the media in Ghana is false. Just like people have written lately that I regret playing for Ghana; that’s false,” he added.

Kwarasey played 24 times for the Black Stars and was a member of the Black Stars team at the World Cup in 2014.
