National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram constituency, Sam Nartey George, has given the Ghana Police Service the green light to arrest any macho man they see in his constituency on Saturday, August 24, 2019 during the constituency’s parliamentary primary.
According to him, he has received series of phone calls with threatening messages of violence from some unknown men at Ashaiman and its environs concerning the upcoming NDC parliamentary primaries.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, the MP said he is a man of peace and will always remain as such but expects the police to be vigilant.
“I know what Ashaiman boys can do and want the police to be vigilant. They should arrest any land guard or macho man they see in the constituency, especially around the Anglican polling station,” he urged.
He added: “I want tranquility to prevail on Saturday and don’t expect anyone to foment any trouble.”
The Ningo-Prampram MP said because he has confidence in the police he placed a call to them a month ago about security in his constituency before, during and after the NDC primaries and has been assured of maximum security.
