A maiden meeting between the management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the playing body was held in Koforidua yesterday.
Major fallout of the meeting was that, Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko will embark on a pre-season training tour in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) before the commencement of the 2020/2021 league season.
The tour will be used as part of the team’s preparation for the upcoming season.
The playing body, technical staff together with some of the management members will fly to United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital later in October 2020.
The team will travel on the 23rd of October with the advance team leaving soon.
The club is putting in place measures to have the remainder of their pre-season outside Ghana.
The Chief Executive Officer of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah affirmed three additional players will arrive at the club to beef up their squad ahead of their Africa campaign.
Kotoko have already signed Emmanuel Keyekeh, Yusif Mubarik, Patrick Asmah and Razak Abalora since the arrival of the new management.
Asante Kotoko will lock horns with Techiman Eleven Wonders in matchday one of the Ghana Premier League.
The entire playing body and coaching staff of Asante Kotoko are currently in Koforidua for preseason camping and are expected to spend a couple of days before they embark on their trip to Dubai.
This will be the fourth time Asante Kotoko will be embarking on a training tour in abroad having done that in 2007, 2012 and 2014 respectively.
