Asante Kotoko SC are close to landing Uganda international defender Murushid Juuko according to local media reports.
Ghana Premier League heavyweights Asante Kotoko are set to complete the signing of Ugandan international Murushid Juuko on a free transfer.
The former Simba SC star man is believed to joining the Ghanaian giants in a deal worth around US$150,000.
He is currently unattached after abrogating his contract with Moroccan club Wydad AC last year.
The 26-year-old has represented Uganda at two AFCON’s – 2017 and 2019 having featured 41 times for the Cranes, and has played for both the U20 and U23 sides of Uganda.
The publication further stated that the Porcupines will be signing two more players from outside the country to strengthen their squad for next season’s CAF Champions League, according to their sources within the club.
On the contrary, the life patron of Asante Kotoko, the Asantehene has currently banned the club from buying any more players for the next one whole season.
