The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has once again taking the opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC) on for claiming the Nana Addo administration has achieved little.
The second gentleman of the land in a Facebook post sighted by GhanaNewsPage.Com, lists some of the achievements of the NPP government in its two and half years in power and compares them to that of the NDC.
He then concludes with the hashtag #Dropthehypocisy.
Dr Bawumia’s new campaign is a reaction to the demonstration organised by opposition elements who claimed that the NPP administration has failed to fulfill most of its promises.
The demonstrators who were clad in red filled the principal streets of the capital demanding several things.
They were led by the leadership of the opposition, NDC and some notable personalities in other political parties such as the PNC.
An unhappy Dr Bawumia decided to respond by comparing the achievements of the NDC to that of the NDC.
Items listed by the former President included restoration of teacher training allowance, the establishment of the Zongo Development Fund, introduction of NABCO, abolishing taxes and introduction of paperless transaction at the ports.
Others included the introduction of Free SHS, Digitisation of the passport acquisition, subsidized fertiliser and the restoration of nursing training allowances.
