Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has officially launched the CitizenApp, a revolutionary mobile application designed to enhance public service delivery and citizen engagement in Accra.
The CitizenApp offers a centralized platform for accessing various government services, reporting issues, and receiving timely updates on public matters, making it a personalized tool for Ghanaians.
The app is expected to improve efficiency by simplifying interactions between citizens and government agencies, promoting greater transparency and accountability.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized the app’s potential to reduce bureaucracy and streamline government processes.
“What Ghana has achieved with this app surpasses what many advanced nations have done. We are moving in a direction with enormous potential… Once fully implemented, conducting business in Ghana, paying taxes, obtaining passports, and registering businesses will be seamless,” he noted.
He further expressed excitement about the app’s role in facilitating communication between the government and its citizens, describing it as a significant milestone in the country’s digitalization journey.
The launch event saw the presence of top government officials, tech industry leaders, and the general public.
