Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has given former President, John Mahama yet another name going into the 2020 elections.
The sitting Vice President who was a thorn in the flesh of the former President and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the run up to the 2016 elections has come up again with another name for the former President.
Dr Bawumia is remembered for christening President John Mahama as an INCOMPETENT Person for the latter’s failure to solve the numerous economic problems that bedeviled the country at the time.
This tag did not sit well with the the President Mahama who always lamented over the name and questioned whether Dr Bawumia has been President before to criticise him.
John Mahama after being voted out of power is also taking his turn to lash out at Bawumia and the NPP Government for being ‘super incompetent’ at managing the economy.
But Dr Bawumia will not buy into that as he has chosen to unveil yet another name for the former President going into the 2020 elections.
The Vice President now prefers to call former President Mahama ‘THE INCOMPETENT ONE’ one.
“I hear THE INCOMPETENT ONE says he wants to come back, he wants to come and do more damage, as if he didn’t do enough damage; well we’re waiting for him, we’re waiting for him, we’re waiting for him, oh my God,” he told a meeting with Metropolitan and Municipal District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in Accra on Monday, 8 October.
This description does not only add insult to injury but can be interpreted to mean that former President John Mahama is the only person who can be tagged ‘INCOMPETENT’.
This has led to the office of the former President warning that they will respond in like manner of the Vice President attacks the former President same way he did in 2016.
“Let him also be reminded that respect for political office holders is earned and that if he chooses to play it dirty, he would get it back in equal measure, press down, shaken together and running over,” the John Mahama Campaign Team said in a statement.
GhanaNewsPage.Com is monitoring to see how the former President will personally respond to this.
