The security men, according to reports have locked up the gate which serves as the entrance for vehicles which are carting materials for the ongoing expansion work at the facility.

One of the security men, Kwabena Ebo who spoke in an interview monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com said they are not paid the exact amount the company promise them before they commenced business.

“We were told we would be paid GHC 1,300 but now we are paid GHC 700 and even with that for close to five months now, we have not been paid…we see this as deliberate…,” he said.

The demonstrating security men claimed their numerous complains to the management of the Airport both in Accra and Kumasi to increase their salaries have not been heeded to.

They have therefore threatened to resign as Airport staff if their concerns are not addressed on time.

“We won’t work again, we gave them 48 hours to address our grievances and they have failed so we would not work again if they fail to solve this now…,” Kwabena Ebo threatened.
