BREAKING: NDC’s Joseph Yamin heads to court to stop NPP’s A/R Elections

Former Deputy Minister for Youth Sports and Culture, Joseph Yamin has filed an application to secure Kumasi high court ruling to prevent the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, from using the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council, RCC, for their elections.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah announced the decision by the NPP to use his official residence for their internal elections.

This comes after the NPP in the Ashanti Region decided to use RCC, the state-owned facility for its polls.

In a court document dated 26th May 26, 2022, “the plaintiff/applicant is praying to the Honorable court for an order interim injunction restraining the defendant/respondent their assign/agents/workmen, and all other persons lawfully claiming through them from allowing the defendants to hold any political conference at the regional coordinating council, Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana until the final determination of the matter before the Honorable court.”
