The deadly striker is no longer a player of the Ghana Premier League giants following the expiration of his contract.
Burkina Faso international Songne Yacouba has ended his stay with Asante Kotoko after his contract expired today.
The 29-year-old turned down several contract extension talks with the management of Asante Kotoko to force his way out of the club.
Following his decision to reject any offer less than $150,000 from Kotoko resulted his relegation to the bench after match week 5 of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.
Yacouba will join a Ghana Premier League side before joining an Asian or European club this summer.
He joined Asante Kotoko on a two-year deal after a successful trial at the club in 2018.
Yacouba rose to the fame to become the fans favorite during their 2018 CAF Confederation Cup campaign where he scored two goals with five assists.
His sterling output secured the club a place in the group stages of the competition where he was chased by several clubs including Nkana FC, Zesco United, Al Hilal and others.
