Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded their first win in the group stage of the ongoing CAF Confederations Cup when they hosted Zesco United from Zambia.

The Porcupine Warriors beat the Zambian envoy in the competition 2-1 to keep their hopes of qualifying from the group alive.

Kwame Bonsu and Emmanuel Gyamfi scored the goals with goalkeeper Felix Annan saving a penalty to hand Zesco their first defeat in West Africa in three years.

Nkana FC had earlier beaten Al Hilal of Sudan 2-1 at home.

All four teams in the Group now have 3 points.
