Controversial radio presenter, Captain Smart has recounted how an Uncle of his beat him mercilessly for naming his sheep after the founder of the Christian religion, ‘Jesus’.
The Angel FM Morning Show presenter narrated on his show on Monday that the Uncle could not come to terms with the fact that a young man like him would prefer to ‘place such a big name on an a mere animal’.
“My Uncle asked me to come to his room, when I went, he asked how the white sheep was doing and I responded it was doing fine. He then called one of my brothers to go and bring the animal and when it was brought, the tag Jesus was still around its neck and that was a basis for giving me the beating of my life…,” he said.
According to him, that particular sheep was the offspring of one of the animals which was given him and his siblings by their grandmother for rearing.
He said the animals were supposed to help them learn how to become entrepreneurial.
This idea, he said was offered by their grandmother who was bent of training her grandchildren to become Millionaires.
To this end, he condemned the attack and killing of a 90-year-old woman by some thugs who claimed she was a witch.
To him, all the people who were involved in the wicked act ought to be prosecuted to serve as deterrence to others.
The 90-year-old woman, identified as Akua Denteh was kicked and caned on Thursday after being accused of witchcraft by a supposed soothsayer.
The body of the deceased has since been conveyed from Kafaba by Police in Salaga and deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
The action have been condemned by several well meaning Ghanaians including former President, Flt Jerry John Rawlings.
