Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has been ordered to act as the caretaker Minister for the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
This is due to the absence of the substantive Minister, Sarah Adwoa Safo from the Ministry.
According to a statement from the Presidency, Sara Adwoa Safo has sought permission to be absent from the Ministry.
“The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has extended the leave of absence from office for the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Sara Adwoa Safo, MP for Dome Kwabenya, which was to have ended on 31st August, 2021. The Minister sought leave of absence for personal reasons,” the statement read in part.
