The Ghana Police Service has said it discovered human remains at Kasaworodo in Takoradi, as a result of ongoing efforts at examining several angles of the investigation involving the thee missing girls in Takoradi and, therefore, claims that a confession or tip-off led to the discovery are untrue.

The three girls Ruthlove Quayson, Priscilla Blessing Bentum and Priscilla Koranchie were kidnapped between August and December 2018 and have still not been found.

An operation carried out by a team of police personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters and the Western Regional police Command in an uncompleted building at Kasaworodo near the Methodist Senior High School girls’ hostel where the first accused Samuel Wills was living led to the discovering of the human remains.

The Police are yet to conduct a DNA test to know the identities of the bodies discovered.

The Police in a Facebook post said: “On Saturday, 3 August 2019 Police held discussion with families of the three missing ladies in Takoradi to assist with DNA samples as part of the investigation and the families are cooperating with the Police in this endeavour.”

The Police have assured the public of covering all other angles of the investigation.
