The Miners lads are set to announce the signing of the deadly goal poacher for their Caf Confederation Cup campaign.

Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold SC have reached an agreement with Aduana Stars over the signing of Yahaya Mohammed.

The Obuasi based club have completed talks with Aduana Stars to secure the 32-year-old on a season-long loan deal for their 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

AshantiGold SC are signing the former Asante Kotoko attacker as replacement for Shafiu Mumuni who left the club last month following the expiration of his contract.

They are hoping to have an impressive campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup with the acquisition of the former Ghana U20 star.

Mohammed had a tremendous stint with Aduana Stars in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season which was truncated due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

He scored eleven goals in 15 appearances for the Dormaa-based club which earned him a call-up to the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

He was handed a call-up to the senior national team of Ghana under Coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor for their all-important AFCON double-header qualifier against Sudan.

Following his explosive performance, Mohammed was adjudged Ghana Premier League player of the month for January.
