COVID-19 forces MTN to SHUT Down Kdua office

The biggest Telecommunication service provider in Ghana – MTN Ghana has temporarily shut down its business unit branch in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional Capital over the coronavirus case.

Kasapa FM sources indicate that contact to a Covid-19 positive case has been traced to the office.

As a proactive and precautionary measure, the management of MTN decided to shut down the office for staff to self-isolate while waiting for their test results.
The officer has therefore remained closed since last week February 8,2021.

Customers of the Telecom company oblivious of the circumstance neccesitating the shut down of the office are worried that the impromptu closure has unconvinced their direct access to customer care services of the company particularly on SIM card replacement and mobile money related challenges.
However, a notice posted on the entrance to the office was not specific when the office will be reopened. The notice apologized to customers for the inconvenience caused.

The second wave of coronavirus is ravaging the country.
