The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has announced that the country will likely open its borders by the 1st of September, 2020.

Addressing the nation in his 15th Update on measures taken by the government to halt the spread of the COVID-19 disease said he has tasked a team to work to see ways the country can open its borders.

He however announced that until that time, the borders still remain closed.

He further assured that the country has the capacity to test every passenger that will arrive at its airports when the borders are opened.
