The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has said that the number of people who are dying of COVID-19 in Ghana are mostly persons suffering from hypertension and diabetes.

In his 10th address to the nation, the President said those are the top underlying health conditions that are leading to the death of most Ghanaians who suffer from the disease.

Ghana has so far recorded 36 deaths from the COVID-19 out of over 8,000 confirmed cases of the disease.

The President said the doctors noticed that persons who were suffering from this disease were either smokers and persons who have bad eating habits.
