The Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence which was earmarked as an isolation centre for COVID 19, has received its first guest as it hosts the Ghanaian nationals deported from Kuwait.
On Saturday, 263 Ghanaians returned from Kuwait after the government evacuated them to Ghana as they were stranded abroad due to the Corona Virus pandemic.
Out of the number, 63 are deportees who were found to be residing illegally in Kuwait.
The “Operation Return Home” program initiated by the government seeks to repatriate Ghanaian nationals abroad who are stranded due to the pandemic.
These returnees have been since sent to the isolation centre at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence to go through the mandatory quarantine routine initiated by the government to assist trace and identify infected persons.
