COVID 19 VACCINATION: 188 million vaccine doses have been administered worldwide so far- Immunologist, Dr Bediako!
Ghanaian Immunologist, Dr Bediako has on today Friday 19th, February, 2021, said that a total of 188 million doses of COVID 19 vaccines have been administered worldwide so far.
According to the Immunologist, Israel is leading the world in terms of COVID vaccination as it has vaccinated over 47% of it’s populace.
Speaking at the ongoing ” Public engagement on Vaccination roll out” at the Alisa Hotel, Accra, Mr Bediako tagged vaccines as an ultimate immune booster.
According to him, unlike many who drink some juices and concoctions as immune boosters, he sees vaccines as the ultimate one.
The Immunologist speaking on the history of Vaccination, indicated that it started over 40 years ago.
Mr Bediako held the view vaccines don’t treat diseases in the body but prevents one from getting infected.
He again noted that there are 11 approved vaccines for the virus worldwide.
According to the Immunologist, there are evidences that vaccines work.
Ending his speech on Vaccination, he urged Ghanaians not to hesitate in getting their vaccine doses when they finally arrive in the country.
