COVID 19 vaccination certificates will be requested when travelling- Presidential Advisor on Health
Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr Anthony Asare Nsiah has advised citizens not to disregard COVID 19 protocols after taking their vaccination injections.
According to him, individuals must not remove their nose masks after they have been vaccinated.
Speaking at the Police Hospital, Accra after the vaccination of Vice President Bawumia and Second Lady Samira, Dr Nsiah revealed that citizens could only take off their masks after 66% of the country’s population has been vaccinated.
According to him, the country has to wait for an official advise from the World Health Organization in regards to the removal of nose masks even after the 66% people have been vaccinated.
Dr Bawumia and Mrs Samira were earlier at the Police Hospital to receive their COVID 19 vaccine doses after President Akufo Addo and First Lady Rebecca had been vaccinated at the 37 Millitary Hospital.
However, the Presidential Advisor on Health speaking in an interview after the exercise at the Police Hospital stressed out that vaccines are safe, adding that it is important to be vaccinated.
According to Dr Asare, very soon, one will be requested to provide a Vaccination certificate when travelling.
” Soon, very soon, people will be asked to provide vaccination certificates when travelling” He said.
He further revealed that the country is used to vaccination and vaccines.
Dr Nsiah again held the view that President Akufo Addo and his Veep including their spouses were first vaccinated earlier today to convince citizens that the country’s already procured Astrazeneca vaccines are safe.
