Dr. Ayine was courteous and decent to the court – Asiedu Nketia

    The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said that Dr. Dominic Ayine’s comment on the judiciary was very courteous and his language very temperate and decent.

    In a press conference  today June 21, 2021 which was held at the N.D.C Party Headquarters which was monitored by Ghana News Page, Hon. Johnson Asiedu  asserted that the National Democratic Congress stand with Dr. Ayine for saying that his hopes about the independence of the judiciary was dampened by the way and manner the court failed to apply the law and judicial precedent in dealing with some interlocutory applications of the petitioner in the recent Election Petition.

    Hon. Johnson Asiedu explained that Dr. Ayines  views about the independence of the Judiciary are views he is entitled to in line with his freedom of expression guaranteed under the 1992 constitution.

    His comment comes after the Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana , Justice Kwasi Anin- Yeboah seek to have disciplinary action taken against Hon. Dominic Ayine for his statement.

    “Dr. Ayine was courteous to the court and kept his language temperate and decent” he said
