Breaking: Dumsor to end in Accra as tie-in is completed at Pokuase Bulk Supply Point

The erratic power supply, otherwise known as Dumsor which has been experienced by power consumers in Accra will soon be a thing of the past due to the completion of the tie-in programme at the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCO) station at Pokuase.

The tie-in which involved the erection of new pylons and replacement of old cables led to the power outages in parts of the capital.

Electricity Distribution company, ECG had explained that they needed to off the lights to allow the work to go on; the ECG therefore released a dumsor timetable for this purpose.

However, after more than a week of work, your authoritative breaking news hub, GhanaNewsPage.Com can confirm that the tie-in programme has ended and power has been evenly distributed to the new lines.

The tie-in was completed on Sunday, 16th May, 2021 and power was connected to all the lines.

With this, it is expected that the erratic power supply will end soon.
