Journalism has been my prior job during childhood. With all things been so good for me, I am able to achieve my aim and fulfill the promise I made to my family. I am now a renowned sports journalist working with Ghana News Page.

Ex-Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda has disclosed that, his former Black Stars colleague, Sulley Muntari remunerated him with a whopping $1,000.00 for saving his penalty kick.

The Legon Cities FC shot stopper made it known that, Black Stars captain, Dede Ayew promised him $100.00 if he saved his penalty kick in a training session.

He added that, he was in dire need of money at the time, but could not save the captain’s penalty.

He revealed that, Sulley Muntari promised him $200.00 if he saved his which he did save, but Sulley insisted on retaking his kick, promising an amount of $1,000.00 if he saved it.

According to the former Ashanti Gold goalkeeper, he insisted on taking the $200.00, but was motivated by Dede Ayew to give it a try because he was confident he would save it.

He mentioned that, he saved Sulley’s penalty and he duly fulfilled his promise of giving him the $1,000.00.

According to him, Sulley Muntari hates defeat. He said he used the money to purchase an iPhone 6 phone.

Fatau Dauda, fondly known as Lion made 24 appearances for the Black Stars and currently plies his trade in the Ghana Premier League with Legon Cities FC.

He made the above revelations in an interview with Yaw Ampofo Ankrah and Nana Darkwa Gyasi on Max TV.
