Ghana’s Heavyweight Rapper, Micheal Owusu Addo also known as Sarkodie has appeared in the latest list of Top 10 richest musicians in Africa 2020 (Forbes).

He has won many awards, performed on both local and international platforms and his own Rapperholic Concert. His chart-topping tracks also sustain his relevance which generate some revenue on some digital online streams.

Sarkodie is arguably wealthiest Musician in Ghana and 10 in African with Senegalese, Akon topping the richest chart.

Ghana’s West African counterpart Nigeria, however, had five personalities named in the Forbes Africa latest 10 richest in Africa list including Wizkid, Davido, Don Jazzy, P square and 2face Idibia.

Forbes estimated Sarkodie net worth 2020 to be at $11 million.

Sarkodie lives in a luxurious mansion (he has one Accra and another one in the UK worth over $250,000) and has fleet of cars most of us only see in our dreams.

In 2017, he was ranked the 9th wealthiest artiste on the continent with a net worth of $7.5 million US dollars.

In 2018, Forbes ranked him as one of the richest stars in Africa in the fourth edition of Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list, a compilation across different industries including music, art, media, film and fashion.

Forbes Africa also named Sarkodie among others in Africa’s Top 10 musicians in 2017.
Sarkodie has the most number of awards as a musician in Ghana and Africa.

He is the very first Ghanaian to win The BET award and first-ever winner of the newly created category, ‘Best International Flow’ at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards
