    George Andah urges parents to take interest in child education

    The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West in the Central Region, Hon Nenyi George Andah, has called on parents in the area to take keen interest in the education of their children.

    According to him, education is one his priority areas and is doing his best, but argued that it would amount to nothing if parents fail to supervise their children at home.

    Nenyi George Andah who is also a deputy minister of communications gave the advice, when he cut the sod for the construction of a new ultramodern kindergarten at the St Kilian Basic Roman Catholic School in Awutu Bereku.

    The facility is an ultra-modern two classroom kindergarten complex with a staff office, storage room, toilets and a play area.

    The project which is supported by Imperial Homes, will bring world class education and nurturing to children of the constituency, from all religions , social classes and with parents from all political factions.

    “During the construction of this project, human resource and up to 70% of the building materials will be sourced locally from Awutu Senya West,”he stated.
    “This project is scheduled to be completed within six months and handed over to the community, encouraging the improvement of our maintenance culture. It would serve as one of the secure foundations for our future leaders,”he added.

    Nenyi George Andah expressed gratitude to Father Steven and Catholic Church for donating the land, the District Education Directorate, the District Assembly staff and engineers for the various support they have rendered towards the project so far.

    He further commended Imperial Homes, for believing in Awutu Senya West, and supporting the project.

     “We are proud of our association with you and we can’t wait for the next big thing,” he stressed.
