Fear Grips Nana Akufo Addo Government Following John Dramani Mahama Commitment to Pay All Customers of Collapsed Financial Institutions
Ghanaians would vote massively for John Dramani Mahama come December 7th, 2020 even if Nana Akufo Addo decides to give every Ghanaian free kerosene and Water. The truth is that Ghanaians are tired of the “419” government of Akufo-Addo.
There is just too much hardships under the government of Nana Akufo Addo with prices of goods and services going up every seconds.
Aside, the Delta and Invincible forces including some State sponsored security agencies unleashing violence on the innocent Ghanaians who have decided to to perform just their civic duties.
When Mr Ken Ofori Atta announced that government has extended free water for all citizens and 50% subsidy for lifeline comsumers of electricity, one would expect that majority of Ghanaians would be very happy and begin to praise the Npp’s “4 more 4 Nana” everywhere. Surprisingly this is not the case as Ghanaians have taken to social media to attack the government rather than praising.
Indeed there is too much hardships in Ghana. Lorry fares have gone up recently about 17.5%. Also, prices of petroleum products have seen skyrocketing increase.
One would ask :Are Ghanaians fed up with the Akufo-Addo led administration to the extent that they cannot even applaud him for the so called intervention? Certainly, this new development must give a clue to president Akufo-Addo, that the mere fact that he introduced free Senior High School, does not make it automatic that the beneficiaries will vote for him. The New Patriotic Party better stopped massaging data and figures, and rather create the actual picture of Hardships among Ghanaians. Workers in general have not seen any increase in salaries.
The Gallant Cadres of NDC are of the view that the real intention of government announcing the extension is to lure them to vote for President Akufo-Addo.
The freeby is also simply a “419” agenda and that government will find a way to recorrect the money back by increasing taxes. Hence there is no need to be happy or even praise the government.
On Thursday , 23 July, 2020 the Finance Minister said the government has taken a bold decision to extend its Coronavirus relief Package of free water and 50% subsidy for all lifeline consumers of electricity for another three months.
This was revealed by Mr Ken Ofori Atta during the presentation of the 2020 Mid-year Budget review. According to the minister the free water initiative would be for all water consumers, while that of the electricity would be limited to lifeline consumers.
Very sad when Ghanaians are facing job losses and high unemployment rates more than ever. The insensitivity of the Nana Akufo Addo is just too much to bear.
The Gallant Cadres of NDC is of the view Nana Akufo Addo government is making business with the Coronavirus pandemic. Because according to the 2010 Population Census, Ghana’s population is 30 million.
Nana addo government is telling Ghanaians that during the limited Lockdown the government spent a whopping GHC 54.4million in cooking food for less than 1million Ghanaians. Assuming the government even shared the money among the entire population, each Ghanaian would be entitled to GHC 1million each and the government would still keep a balance of GHC 24.4million….what kind of stealing is this Nana Addo?
It is not too late for the government to account properly all the monies it has spent particularly the Covid-19 management and containment.
