Stephen Atubiga, a Presidential aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says he is capable of raising the GHC400,000 filing fees.

All male flag bearer aspirants of the NDC are expected to pay GHS400,000 as filing fee while female flag bearer aspirants and persons with disability are to pay GHS200,000 and GHS150,000 respectively.

The nomination form for the flag bearer slot is going for GHS20,000.

The party took the decision at a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Thursday, 29 November at the party’s headquarters in Accra.

Meanwhile, all parliamentary aspirants are expected to pay GHS20,000 as filing fees. Female parliamentary aspirants will pay half of that. According to the party, all aspirants have up to 10 days to submit the forms.

Atubiga Speaking in an interview on Friday’s edition of Peace FM morning show Kokrokoo, with sit-in host, Nana Yaw Kesse, said he has got so many sponsors to the extent that he can even afford to pay for former president John Mahama.
