Gov’t to meet with relatives of Ghanaians in Ukraine on Tuesday

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration , Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey has scheduled a meeting with relatives of Ghanaians living in Ukraine.

    The meeting will take place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) at 10 am.

    A statement issued by the Ministry on Saturday, February 26 explained that the meeting is in line with “the prevailing precarious security situation in Ukraine, which has necessitated the evacuation of Ghana nationals, among others from the country to safety.”

    Since last week when Russia launched an attack on Ukraine in what has attracted global attention, Ghana, like many other countries has been involved in frantic efforts to evacuate her citizens in Ukraine.

    The Ministry has cautioned Ghanaians against activities of unauthorized individuals posing to be designated officials for the evacuation exercise.
