Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Samuel Akurugu has failed trials at Ivorian giants, Asec Mimosas.
Samuel Akurugu some few weeks ago asked management of the club to terminate his contract
Akurugu believes he has no future with the Phobians and has asked the management to cancel his contract so that he can seek fresh employers.
“Yes it’s true I have requested for my contract to be terminated with one year left, I’m not a happy person at Hearts and can’t continue like that.”Akurugu told Nhyira FM
“Mr. Hackman told me he will forward my request to the board for consideration. It hurts when you are told in the face you would be replaced without knowing what you have done wrong.”
“I inquired from myself if is because of the five goals i conceded at Sogakope, I think it’s time I look elsewhere,” he said.
And in looking elsewhere, Akurugu went for trials at Asec Mimosas but failed the trials, GhanaNewsPage.Com can confirm.
Akurugu lost his place in the Hearts of Oak team to Ben Mensah after conceding five goals against WAFA.
