Communications Director Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has denied reports that the club has slashed the salaries of players by 30 percent.
It has been common practise for football clubs to roll out pay-cut for footballers as they strive to stay afloat during this coronavirus period.
Ashgold, Asante Kotoko, Elmina Sharks and a host of other clubs have been able to slash the salaries of their players by various percentages.
Rmours indicated that the Rainbow Club have followed suit by slashing salaries of their players by 30 percent. However, the PRO of the club has denied those reports.
“It is not true that we have agreed on a 30% pay-cut, it is not even a public announcement, we will do it with our players. Everything we do is between us (club) and the players,” Opare Addo told Kumasi based OTEC FM.
“If there is anything that we want the public to know, we will communicate to them on our social media platforms” he concluded.
